As Operations Manager at Plukon in Olen, you will manage the production organization, ensuring safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, and people development while leading the plant management team.

Responsibilities • Develop and drive plant goals: translate plant objectives into a yearly action plan and align with plant management. • Lead and develop shift leaders and line supervisors, strengthening ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Manage production operations: oversee safety, food safety, quality, output, delivery reliability, efficiency, cost and people development. • Coordinate with plant manager and functional domains (quality, safety, HR, supply chain, finance, continuous improvement) to translate initiatives into operational reality. • Build and maintain a reliable production flow by synchronizing people, resources, machines, planning and capacity. • Link short-term production performance with structural improvements over a 12‑24 month horizon and resolve issues at the correct level. • Communicate clearly on performance, risk and change; support the manufacturing organization to evolve to a higher maturity. • Be visibly present on the floor, hands‑on where needed, while keeping focus on the system rather than individual problems. • Champion teamwork, social stability and a strong, predictable, future‑oriented production system.

Qualifications • Experienced people leader in a complex production environment with daily operational pressures and high standards for safety, quality, planning and cost. • Proven experience guiding line managers in an industrial context, preferably in food, FMCG or a comparable setting with high reliability demands. • Strong operational drive combined with the ability to rise above incidents, linking leadership, meetings, KPIs, behaviour and performance. • Confidence working at the floor, building trust through proximity, clarity and reliability, and holds own of priorities, boundaries and expected results. • Comfortable with change, translating functional frameworks from HR, safety, quality, supply chain and continuous improvement into working routines. • Analytical and pragmatic: using KPIs, operational data and floor observations to set priorities, decide actions and anchor improvements sustainably. • Hands‑on where necessary but avoids micromanaging; escalates decisively when priorities or resources exceed ownership.
